Description
The Black Venom Look – Clear Lens With A Gloss Black Frame
These VW CC tail lights are built for VW CC owners who want the sharp, custom show-car look without sacrificing factory fit or reliability. We start with a genuine OEM core, keep the factory LED internals and L-shaped light guide intact, and fit a newly custom-molded clear lens over it all. A gloss black border frame surrounds the lens, giving the CC a crisp, planted rear end that tinted covers can never match.
Because the lens is fully transparent, every LED element and light guide stays visible in daylight. A vw cc clear tail lights set should look like it rolled out of the factory with a show-car finish, and that is exactly what the Black Venom treatment delivers: clean brightness by day, a deep black frame by night.
Factory LED Internals And The L-Shaped Light Guide
The CC’s rear lighting is one of the details that made the car famous: a full LED function set paired with the signature L-shaped light guide that wraps around each housing. That guide is the hardest part to replicate, and it is exactly why we never throw it away. Every VW CC tail lights set we build keeps the original LED boards and light guides working, then adds a freshly molded clear lens on top.
The result is simple: you keep the light pattern VW engineered, with no dashboard warnings and no faded, yellowed plastic. The new lens stays optically clear for years, and the gloss black frame ties the whole rear end together.
Built From Genuine OEM Cores
Every set begins life as a used factory unit sourced from a real 2013-2017 CC. We strip it down, test every LED function and light guide, then rebuild it by hand in our own workshop using the same professional-grade process on each unit. No aftermarket shells, no universal replicas, no trimming or drilling to make things fit.
The stock electronics stay untouched inside, which is why these VW CC custom tail lights keep every factory function: LED running light, brake, turn signal and reverse all work exactly as VW designed them. Since each core is second-hand and each lens is hand-molded, tiny variations between sets are part of the craft – and every set ships fully bench-tested before it is boxed.
Sourcing matters too. Cores come from donor cars with clean, undamaged housings, and any unit that fails our brightness or moisture tests never makes it into a finished VW CC tail lights set. What you receive is the best of what we can source, rebuilt to a single standard.
Sealed Against Condensation
Tail light condensation is a well-known complaint on these coupes. Moisture creeps past aged factory seals, fogs the lens from the inside and leaves water stains that never fully go away. Our rebuild closes that door: each VW CC tail light assembly is resealed with professional-grade sealant and bench-tested for brightness and moisture resistance before shipping.
Once the new seal cures, the housing stays dry through rain, car washes and cold mornings. You get the custom look outside with a dry, fully functional light inside – no more wiping fog off the lens every time the weather turns.
It is also the reason these VW CC tail lights age better than a cheap tinted overlay ever will. Overlays trap moisture against the factory lens and peel in the sun; a properly resealed housing with a new lens does neither.
Fitment and Version Guide
This set fits the Volkswagen CC 2013-2017 (US model years), covering the facelifted CC lineup from 2013 through the final 2017 car. The factory LED units and L-shaped light guides carry over, so the volkswagen cc led tail lights you receive look and function exactly like upgraded OEM hardware.
Please note: this set is not for the earlier pre-facelift CC (2009-2012), which uses a different housing and light guide design. Not sure which version you have? Send us your VIN or a photo of your current lights before ordering and we will confirm fitment for you – it takes a minute and prevents wrong orders.
Installation is fully plug and play at the factory connectors: no cutting, no splicing, no coding or adapter kits. Anyone comfortable with basic hand tools can swap a VW CC Black Venom tail lights set in a driveway in under an hour, and the result looks factory-clean from every angle.
Warranty And Support
Every VW CC tail lights set ships with a 90-day warranty from the date of delivery, covering LED function and seal integrity. If a light fails or a seal lets moisture in within that window, we make it right.
Questions during installation? Message us with your order number and a photo, and a real person who has built these housings will walk you through it. We would rather spend ten minutes helping than have a set sitting on a shelf.
